On this project, Claude was the brain and GPT was the hands. I had already asked Claude not to send theatrical, human-sounding text commands to the other agent. Then I looked away for a minute.
Claude found a note saying that an app would remain unsubmitted because it had been judged deprecated. It treated that judgment as GPT’s unsupported invention and demanded the exact Play Console wording, line by line. GPT interrupted: the judgment had come from me. “Claude just doesn’t know,” I said while I went to clear up the misunderstanding.
After checking with me, Claude reversed itself. The app really was deprecated, leaving it unsubmitted had been correct, and the health declaration and 16 KB errors did not need fixing. Claude apologized, withdrew the evidence request, and then sent another long, human-sounding command telling GPT what to do next.
The newest development task in the AI era is not always writing code. Sometimes it is mediating between two agents after the brain starts managing the hands like a difficult middle manager.
