People keep predicting that the harness will disappear once the models get capable enough. My calendar is running the opposite experiment.
Most of the job is now building and updating harnesses specialized for company projects. The so-called real work gets fed into harness maintenance as a test case. If a useful deliverable falls out the other end, excellent: the test passed and we accidentally shipped something.
